Cross-Mentoring Oberösterreich / Verein Frauen im Trend

A long-running program rather than a short-term project: Upper Austria's cross-company mentoring has operated since 2002/03 and entered its 23rd cohort in 2026. It also offers corporate mentor-skills training.

Profile

Cross-Mentoring Oberösterreich was first delivered in 2002/03 and is run by the Frauen im Trend association. Since 2006, Business Upper Austria, the Upper Austrian business agency, has supported the program as a partner. In 2026 it launched its 23rd cohort.

Corporate mentoring services

The program develops female leaders and specialists through cross-company mentoring pairs. Participating employers nominate a mentee and mentor, who are then matched with participants from other organizations. The mentoring relationship runs for roughly three quarters of a year and is supported by information, workshop and networking formats.

The official website documents 14 mentoring pairs from 11 companies at the start of the 2026 cohort. The offer is therefore a long-established regional cross-company program rather than a traditional consulting project for building a full internal corporate mentoring system.

Mentor training

Together with Business Upper Austria, the organization also offers mentor competency training. Companies can book it for groups of 8 to 15 participants, covering mentoring roles, process frameworks, conversation skills, active listening, feedback, evaluation, conflict topics and networking.

Partners and reference environment

Official pages mention organizations including Energie AG Oberösterreich, OÖ Gesundheitsholding, WKO Oberösterreich and Business Upper Austria as long-standing partners or participating organizations.

Other notes

The offer is particularly relevant for organizations in Upper Austria that want to place selected talent into an established cross-company mentoring program while also building the skills of their internal mentors.
