About the programme

Mentoring Together is an ABSL initiative designed to promote two-way knowledge exchange between generations in the business services sector. ABSL represents over 450,000 business services employees and uses this programme to strengthen inclusion, collaboration and innovation across multi-generational teams.

Mission and goals

The programme aims to inspire social change by bridging generational gaps and fostering inclusive workplaces. Its goals include supporting ABSL members in building cross-generational understanding, harnessing the motivations and potential of younger employees, improving communication and respect, and developing leadership skills at all levels.

How it works

Mentoring Together redefines traditional mentoring by encouraging reverse and reciprocal mentoring: young professionals share insights on technology, digital trends and contemporary workplace priorities, while senior leaders contribute experience in strategy, leadership and career development. The programme is organised in structured cycles with regular meetings focused on agreed challenges and solutions.
