University of applied sciences offering dedicated corporate/workplace mentor training for middle managers and team leaders. It can be a useful option for companies looking for formal, certificate-based preparation of internal mentors.
Profile and history
The legal predecessor of Edutus University, the College of Modern Business Sciences, began operating in 1992 in Tatabánya as Hungary’s first private college specializing in business education. Since 2018 the institution has operated as Edutus University, a university of applied sciences.
Although Edutus is not a traditional consulting firm, it is relevant to this directory because it provides adult education and corporate training services.
Corporate mentor training
Edutus offers a dedicated Corporate (Workplace) Mentor Training programme, primarily for middle managers and team leaders. The objective is to prepare participants to conduct mentoring processes and support the integration, development and career progression of employees.
The 16-hour programme covers:
- mentoring roles and process,
- mentor responsibilities, objectives and ethical principles,
- building and maintaining the relationship,
- workplace onboarding and integration,
- employee competency development,
- support for individual career development.
The training is available as an open course and as company training delivered at locations across Hungary, and completion leads to a certificate.
How to position the provider
Edutus is a strong option for formal preparation of internal mentors, but we did not identify a public full-service offer covering mentoring programme design, matching or programme management. It is therefore best positioned as a training partner, rather than a complete mentoring programme operator.
