FEM - Femei în Excelență și Mentorat is an initiative from Academia Oamenilor de Știință din Romănia (AOSR) for young researchers, graduates and women at an early stage of a scientific career.

The role of mentoring

Mentoring is used to support mentoring and coaching aimed at reducing gender gaps in scientific leadership.

FEM was launched in September 2026 as a pilot mentoring and coaching programme; the size of the first cohort has not yet been published.
