Mentorias Internacionais UMinho connects students at UMinho with alumni and professionals who have international experience, aiming to broaden insight into careers abroad, academic mobility, and different work contexts.

Who it's for

Designed for students in advanced stages of a bachelor's, master's, integrated master's, or doctoral programme who want to explore career options and international mobility.

What it offers

Personalized guidance through mentor–mentee pairs aligned by interests and goals;
Practical perspective on global careers and professional realities in international contexts;
Goal development and a collaborative action plan defined throughout the mentoring relationship.

How it works

The program facilitates pairings between students and mentors (alumni or professionals with international experience). Pairs set common objectives and work on them over the course of the mentoring relationship, adapting meetings and activities to the mentee's needs.

For experienced participants

It is also an opportunity for alumni and professionals to share international experience, support the next generation, and contribute to the UMinho academic community.
