About the program

The CIÊNCIAS Alumni Mentoring Program leverages the experience and network of former students of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon to support the academic and professional development of current students.

Intended for

Students from the 3rd year onward, including master's and doctoral students, who are seeking guidance on the transition to the labour market, development of transferable skills and expansion of professional contacts.

What it offers

Personalized guidance from alumni with relevant professional experience.
Development of transferable skills and preparation for entering the labour market.
Networking opportunities and access to the Faculty of Sciences alumni network.

How it works

Selected mentors support a limited number of mentees, providing close and focused guidance. The format typically combines regular meetings with occasional contacts, adapted to each mentee's needs.

For mentors

Alumni with professional experience can contribute by sharing practical knowledge and contacts, supporting the next generation of professionals trained by the faculty.
