About the program
The PMI Poland Chapter Mentoring Program is a proven six-month initiative that pairs experienced project leaders with people who want to develop project management skills and deliberately build their careers.
Program format
- An individual mentoring process based on the mentor–mentee relationship, supported by webinars and workshops.
- Regular 1:1 sessions carried out during the program (typically 5–12 hours in total).
- Algorithmic matching of mentoring pairs, with the mentor able to choose a mentee if there are multiple applications.
For mentees
- Concrete support in planning career development and achieving goals.
- Access to practical knowledge and experience from project management experts across industries.
- Opportunities to build valuable relationships and expand professional networks.
For mentors
- A chance to share experience and influence the development of the next generation of project leaders.
- An opportunity to develop leadership and mentoring skills and to reflect on personal experience.
- Increased visibility within the PMI community and the chance to connect with professionals from various sectors.
Who can participate?
- Mentor: an active member of PMI Poland Chapter (membership in PMI Global and the Polish chapter), with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience and/or recognized expert knowledge; expected commitment of 5–12 hours during the program and a positive recommendation from the PMI PC Board.
- Mentee: an active member of PMI Poland Chapter, willing to devote 5–12 hours to mentoring sessions and to define development goals in the application form.
How are pairs matched?
Mentoring pairs are matched based on information from the application forms. The program team considers the goals, experience and expectations of both parties; when a mentor receives multiple applications, they may choose a mentee from the candidates with the support and recommendations of the program team.
Results and experience
- 600+ mentoring pairs completed.
- 8 program editions completed.
