About the program

Jestem Liderką is a program organized by Vital Voices Polska that aims to support the early development of women's leadership talents, break stereotypes, and promote a female style of leadership.

Who the program is for

The program is aimed at young women aged 18–21 — pupils and students from across Poland who are interested in strengthening leadership competencies and are active in social, business, technology, or cultural activities.

Format and selection process

Finalists are selected through a competition that includes a short essay titled "Imagine you are a leader..." and a questionnaire attached to the essay. Essays are evaluated in four categories: Politics and Social Activity, Business, New Technologies, and Culture and Media. Authors of the most compelling essays are invited to participate in the program.

What participation includes

an intensive, usually week-long training program held in Warsaw,
workshops on leadership, self-presentation and communication, career path design, and strengths development,
a dedicated mentor working with each participant on an individual basis,
opportunities to connect with successful women from business, diplomacy, politics, and the media,
the possibility of internships at recognized Polish institutions and companies.

Benefits

Participation helps develop practical leadership skills, expand networks, and gain mentor support for planning further personal and professional development. All finalists are regarded as winners — the program focuses on the growth of each participant.

The program is carried out in cooperation with partners from business, media, cultural, and diplomatic sectors, who support the initiative by providing experts, internship placements, and practical experiences.
