About the program
Mentoring at the Jagiellonian University Career Office is a series of meetings with practitioners who share knowledge and experience useful at various stages of professional development. The program offers opportunities for one-to-one consultations and participation in small discussion groups, held both online and in person.
Who the mentors are
Mentors are UJ graduates with at least five years of professional experience, representing, among others, large global companies, European Union institutions, non-governmental organizations and privately run businesses.
Formats and benefits
- Individual meetings – consultations focused on specific professional challenges or planning a career path.
- Group meetings – small, moderated sessions that enable exchange of experience and discussion of practical solutions.
- Hybrid mode – sessions take place both online and in person to facilitate access to mentors.
- Networking – in addition to substantive knowledge, participants expand their professional contacts.
- Support in career planning – meetings help choose the next career steps or resolve related doubts.
Organization
Mentoring meetings are currently organized by the Section for Cooperation with the Social Environment of UJ (UJ Promotion and Cooperation Centre). Examples of past activities are documented in the UJ Alumni Project materials.
