Wzrastające Pyry

A four-month Agile Poznań mentoring program pairing mentees with experienced mentors across three thematic development tracks.

People with at least one year of professional experience.

About the program

“Wzrastające Pyry” is a mentoring program organized by the Agile Poznań community, designed to support professional development and to build networks within agile practices, product management, and leadership. More than 50 people took part in the previous edition, and lessons learned were used to improve the next one.

Who it's for

People with at least one year of professional experience in the industry who are interested in development in product, agility, or leadership.
Members of the Agile Poznań community have priority when matching mentors.
Participants willing to be actively engaged throughout the program (about 4 months) and open to feedback.

Thematic tracks

Product: managing the product lifecycle from concept to optimization.
Agile: practical application of methods such as Scrum and Kanban and working with teams in a dynamic environment.
Leadership: developing leadership skills, motivating teams, and delivering strategic goals.

Format and phases of the program

Preparation – organizational period and alignment of expectations (including the application stage).
Planting – the inaugural meeting combined with workshops for mentors and mentees and pairing of mentoring pairs.
Sprouting and growth – regular 1:1 meetings (recommended 4–6 sessions), held online or in person; the first meeting includes setting a mentoring agreement.
Fertilizing – support for mentors through workshops and exchange meetings to address challenges in the mentoring relationship.
Harvest – a closing meeting and celebration of participants' results.

Why participate

The program combines practical 1:1 support with workshop elements and community knowledge exchange, offering the opportunity to accelerate development of product, agile, and leadership skills while building relationships within the local Agile community.

Recruitment

Recruitment for mentors and participants (mentees) is conducted regularly as part of the program; interested people may apply according to the organizers' communications.
