About the program
The "Energetyka jest Kobietą" Mentoring Program is an initiative of the Polish Committee of the World Energy Council aimed at developing the leadership and professional competencies of women active in the energy sector. The first edition brought together participants, mentors and experts, building a community based on knowledge and the exchange of perspectives.
Program objectives
- Strengthening leadership competencies needed for the energy transition;
- Creating networks among professionals, mentors and industry representatives;
- Promoting the exchange of experience and best practices within the sector.
Components and outcomes
During the first edition, the publication “Leadership Competencies for the Energy Transition in Poland” was produced, developed jointly with representatives of the energy sector, public administration and program participants. The document presents conclusions and recommendations on the competencies needed to lead organizations through processes of transition.

The program is aimed at women professionally connected to the energy sector who want to develop leadership skills, broaden industry knowledge and build relationships with mentors and experts.
What’s next
The program continues to develop — the organizers are working on further initiatives and another edition. The initiative is long-term and focuses on building a lasting community that supports the development of women in the energy sector.
