About the program
The mentoring program of the Committee on Financial Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences is aimed at doctoral students in the discipline of economics and finance and seeks to support their academic development and practical research skills. The program connects early-career researchers with experienced Committee members who share academic and practical knowledge.
What it offers participants
- Support in shaping an academic trajectory and planning an academic career.
- Advice on research methodology, research design and publication.
- Consultations on conducting research in the discipline of economics and finance.
- Note that mentor support does not replace the relationship and obligations arising from the doctoral candidate's cooperation with their supervisor.
Format and confirmation of participation
- Mentoring consultations are provided in at least two 45‑minute online sessions.
- Completion of the program may be confirmed by a certificate issued based on the mentor's confirmation that meetings took place.
- Participation in the program is free of charge.
Who provides mentoring
Mentors in the program are members of the Committee on Financial Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences with established academic and practical experience. Their involvement enables doctoral students to receive support from experts in finance and economics.
