Designers seeking career development and improvement of soft skills
About the program
STGU Mentoring 2.0 is a programme designed for exchanging experience and building professional relationships within the design community. The initiative emphasizes support for mentees in the area of soft skills and deliberate career development, providing an intimate space for dialogue and reflection on professional practice.
Who it's for
The programme is aimed at STGU members and people actively contributing to the Polish design community — those who already have early professional experience, can identify their development needs and are looking for an external, advisory perspective on their career.
Areas of support
- career development or change,
- running professional freelancing,
- improving communication and presentation skills,
- teamwork and problem solving,
- time and priority management,
- building a personal brand.
The programme does not focus on learning purely design skills — its goal is to provide support in soft and strategic areas related to career.
Format and structure
Participants are paired with mentors in a small-scale setting, which encourages regular meetings and in-depth work on defined development goals. The number of mentor–mentee pairs is limited; the programme prioritises the quality of relationships and exchange of experience.
Benefits for mentors
Participation offers mentors an opportunity to reflect on their own practice, share knowledge and learn the perspectives of junior and peer specialists, which can be a source of inspiration and new professional experiences.
