Students and graduates of the University of Wrocław
About the programme
The University of Wrocław Career Office Mentoring Programme creates a partnership-based space connecting students and graduates with experienced professionals from various sectors. The programme aims to support conscious career planning, uncover participants' potential and develop key competencies needed on the labour market.
Format and process
- The mentoring cycle includes a minimum of 5 meetings, which can take place in person, online or in a hybrid format.
- Meetings are partner conversations and practical support — they are not lectures but sessions for exchanging experience, analysing professional situations and providing constructive feedback.
- Mentors use proven mentoring methods and tools to help clarify goals and plan next steps.
What the mentee gains
- Real insight into work in a chosen industry and in specific roles.
- A check of expectations about a future career and guidance on which competencies to develop.
- Identification of strengths and work on barriers affecting professional development.
- Increased self-confidence through feedback and expert support.
- Development of interpersonal and communication skills, and professional maturity (responsibility, punctuality, self-discipline).
- Establishing valuable professional contacts and inspiration for further action.
Who is it for?
The programme is open to people who are available and motivated to work on their professional development. According to programme rules, mentees may include, among others:
- Bachelor's students in their 2nd or 3rd year at the University of Wrocław,
- Engineering students in their 2nd or 3rd year, or in the 4th semester, at the University of Wrocław,
- Second-cycle (master's) students,

About mentors and methods
Mentors are practitioners from different fields who share knowledge, provide constructive feedback and work with participants using concrete mentoring tools. The programme is well recognised on campus and offers a long-term space for building professional relationships and personal development. The organisers regularly recruit both mentors and mentees, adapting each edition to participants' needs.
