About the program
LIN's mentoring program pairs highly qualified immigrants with experienced working professionals to strengthen participants' paths into the Norwegian labour market. The program is built on personal guidance and network building between mentor and mentee, and emphasizes practical support in job seeking, networking and career choices in Norway.
Results
The program shows concrete effects for participants: 70% of this year's mentees have obtained relevant employment, an internship or started further education, and 90% say they have increased confidence that they can find work in their field in Norway.
Who participates
- Mentees: Highly qualified immigrants who want to enter employment or further education in Norway.
- Mentors: Volunteer professionals, often managers and specialists who share experience, networks and practical guidance. Past mentors have come from among others If Gjensidige, Nordea, UNICEF, Kirkens Nødhjelp, LPO Arkitekter, Kreftforeningen, Ardoq, Etisk Handel, CREO, Folkeakademiet and Millum.

- Practical advice and support in job searching and career decisions.
- Increased self-confidence and belief in their opportunities within their profession in Norway.
The program depends on the efforts of volunteer mentors and demonstrates how guidance and networks can concretely contribute to employment, internships or further studies for highly qualified immigrants.
