What a mentor can assist with
- Practical help related to study tasks and the study situation
- Support for planning and organising the study routine
- Follow-up tailored to the student's individual needs within the programme's learning objectives
Who the scheme is for
The scheme is for students who receive education funded by NAV. You must be 22 years or older to use the scheme. The need for a mentor is assessed and followed up each semester.
About choosing a mentor
UiO cooperates with NAV in assessing and facilitating the mentoring collaboration. The institution arranges recruitment and evaluation of potential candidates, and both external candidates and fellow students are commonly considered. Before the mentoring collaboration begins, a digital agreement is signed by NAV, the student and the mentor.
Note: The mentor's role is to support the study situation within boundaries that safeguard the student's academic obligations and the programme's requirements for independence.
