Catalysts

Catalysts is a Norwegian nonprofit mentoring specialist that has designed and operated programmes since 2015, with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion and reverse mentoring.

About the organisation

Catalysts is a Norwegian nonprofit organisation that has developed, operated and supported mentoring programmes since 2015. It combines mentoring with diversity and inclusion work and describes itself as a leading Nordic actor in the field.

Mentoring programmes

Catalysts uses a structured method covering participant selection and needs analysis, matching, goal setting, follow-up and measurement of progress and impact. Programmes often run for 6–9 months. For organisations, Catalysts offers tailored reverse mentoring, youth mentoring programmes and advisory work related to diversity competence.

Experience and clients

Catalysts states that its first reverse-mentoring round with Deloitte Norway was delivered in autumn 2021. Its own website also names NRK, Storebrand, EY, Nordic Choice and Høegh as buyers of youth mentoring programmes. These programmes can include mentee recruitment, interviews, matching and follow-up, while the partner company recruits mentors internally.

Other services

Workshops, mapping and strategy work in diversity and inclusion, advisory services, youth programmes and development of knowledge environments around evidence-based mentoring.
