La Statale Mentoring
Project of the University of Milan pairing final-year students and recent graduates with alumni professionals for career guidance and development of transversal (soft) skills.

Program objectives
La Statale Mentoring supports professional and personal development through an individual relationship between a student/recent graduate and a professional alumnus: the aim is to promote career orientation and the enhancement of transversal skills.
Structure and main phases
- Selection and training: participants undergo a selection process and preliminary training sessions.
- Initial meeting and matching: mentors and mentees take part in an initial meeting and are matched by the University's Career Service.
- One-to-one meetings: the pathway continues with individual meetings between mentor and mentee to work on orientation, professional goals and transversal skills.
Who it's for
The project is intended for students in their final two years of study and for recent graduates; it involves professional alumni as mentors and also offers a sharing opportunity for those already established in the workforce.
