Programme overview

The University College Cork Mentorship Programme connects current students with alumni and other experienced members of the UCC community in a structured scheme designed to support career development.

What it offers

The programme facilitates mentor–mentee conversations that help students explore sectors, prepare for first jobs, improve applications and interviews, consider entrepreneurship or research careers, and develop longer-term career plans.

Format

The relationship is typically structured around several one-hour meetings spread over about six months, allowing focused discussions and ongoing guidance.

Who participates

Mentors are drawn from UCC alumni and other experienced members of the university community who share practical insight and career experience; mentees are current UCC students seeking guidance on career choices and transitions.
