One-year mentoring for PhD candidates in the Sorbonne Université Alliance, paired with a mentor who holds a doctorate to work on career planning, networking and professional development.

PhD candidates from year 2 onward (within the Sorbonne Université Alliance).
Programme goals
The Sorbonne Université doctoral mentoring programme provides personalised support over 12 months to help PhD candidates reflect on their career path, expand their network and develop transferable skills, whether in research or beyond.
Format and content
- Duration: 12 months.
- Beneficiaries: PhD candidates from the second year onward within the Sorbonne Université Alliance.
- Mentoring: an experienced mentor holding a doctorate, from academia or the professional sector.
- Meetings: at least 5 to 6 individual meetings, complemented by group sessions focused on career, networking and professional development.
What to expect
The programme offers a regular, confidential space to meet with an experienced professional to explore career paths, clarify plans, strengthen networks and identify ways to develop skills beyond the doctorate.
