About the programme
The EUPHAnxt Mentoring Programme is part of EUPHA’s network for students and young professionals in public health. It connects early-career public health students and professionals with experienced leaders across Europe to foster professional development, strengthen networks and bridge the gap between academic study and practical public health practice.
Who it's for
- Mentees: students, recent graduates and early-career public health professionals seeking guidance on career paths, skills development and networking.
- Mentors: experienced public health practitioners, researchers and policymakers interested in supporting the next generation and sharing practical insights.
What participants can expect
- Tailored career guidance and professional development support.
- Opportunities to expand multidisciplinary networks across Europe.
- Practical help navigating the transition from academia to practice, including support with skills such as abstract preparation and conference participation — EUPHAnxt has supported over 180 abstracts through its Abstract Tutoring Programme since 2018.
- An inclusive, cross‑country exchange of experience covering both research and policy perspectives.
Topics and scope
The programme spans the broad spectrum of public health themes represented within EUPHA, including disease control and prevention, population and equity in health, public health policy and systems, workforce and services, digital health and AI, environment and sustainability, health promotion, global health and more.
