A mentor does not always need to be someone with many more years of experience. Peer mentoring is based on support between people at a similar stage of life, education, or career, making it easier to exchange experiences, adapt to a new environment, and learn from one another.
A mentoring initiative from University of Copenhagen – BRIC for postdoctoral researchers at BRIC. BRIC forms peer-mentoring groups of 5–7 postdocs, seeks to match people by career stage and starts new groups on a recurring basis.
