About the programme

The Mentoring Programme at the University of Hamburg connects professionally experienced mentors with female students in the final phase of their studies and with recent graduates to support individual career development and the transition from academia to professional life. The scheme emphasises transfer of practical experience, external perspectives from industry and professionally experienced mentors, and a supportive, confidential learning relationship.

Who is it for?

The programme is aimed at female students in late stages of study (from the 5th semester of a Bachelor's programme or from the 3rd semester of a Master's programme) as well as graduates who completed their studies no more than one year ago. It is directed at individuals who register their gender as “w” (including cis and trans) and explicitly seeks to reach and empower talents across a wide variety of disciplines, backgrounds and origins.
