Initiative Women into Leadership e.V. (IWiL)
Large DGM-certified cross-company mentoring network for female leadership talent. IWiL connects 37 corporate members and participants from more than 100 organizations with senior leadership networks, focusing on talent for upper management levels.
Profile
The nonprofit Initiative Women into Leadership (IWiL), founded in 2017, focuses on the sustainable development of women for senior leadership roles. Its core offer is an exclusive cross-industry mentoring network.
Corporate mentoring services
Corporate members nominate female leadership talent and high potentials. IWiL organizes selection and matching with experienced decision-makers from other organizations. Goals, communication methods and the framework for each mentoring relationship are structured, while participants also gain access to a cross-company network and events.
IWiL is therefore primarily a large external cross-company mentoring program, rather than a consultancy focused on building bespoke internal programs. It is nevertheless highly relevant for employers that want to place selected talent into a senior cross-industry network.
Network, clients and certification
The website reports 129 individual members, 37 corporate members and a network spanning more than 100 companies. Organizations mentioned include thyssenkrupp, Deutsche Telekom, E.ON, SAP SE, Porsche AG, Brenntag, L'Oréal, Schaeffler, AUDI and All for One.
The IWiL program is shown as certified by the German Society for Mentoring (DGM). This is a mentoring quality certification and should not be confused with individual ICF or EMCC accreditation.
Other notes
IWiL combines mentoring with visibility, network access, cross-industry events and a long-term community for female leaders. It is particularly relevant for organizations seeking external development and networking for talent approaching first- and second-level leadership positions.
