An independent perspective alongside supervision

Doctoral Hub Mentoring is a central support offer available across VŠE faculties. A mentee is connected with an experienced person from academia or professional practice who complements the role of a supervisor or line manager and can provide an independent perspective on development choices.

Topics shaped by the mentee

• academic and non-academic career direction,
• publishing, grants and professional conferences,
• networking and work in research teams,
• project leadership, entrepreneurial thinking and time management.

Matching and format

Applicants indicate mentor preferences and describe their motivation and needs, which are considered in matching. The mentoring relationship is flexible, with goals and themes set individually around the issues the mentee wants to work on.
