Mentoringový program Univerzity Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně
Connects UTB students with experienced professionals (ideally alumni) to share practical experience, develop skills, and support professional growth.
Who is it for?
UTB students and experienced professionals
What the program offers
The UTB mentoring program forms mentor–mentee pairs focused on sharing real-world experience, developing professional and soft skills, and supporting personal growth. The program is open to students and experienced professionals; ideal mentors are UTB alumni, but alumni status is not required.
Why join
- For mentees: gain practical career advice, expand your professional network, and receive personal support when planning further study or practical experience;
- For mentors: an opportunity to pass on your experience, develop mentoring and communication skills, and connect with students and the academic community;
- Mutual benefit: personal development for both participants and an exchange of new perspectives.
How the program runs
The program typically runs throughout the year and begins with a joint introductory meeting that includes brief training for mentors and mentees on how to collaborate effectively. After the introduction, pairs arrange regular in-person or online meetings on their own. The program concludes with a final meeting and completion of an evaluation questionnaire.
- Introductory training – a short orientation to the roles of mentor and mentee;
- Regular meetings – in person or online according to the pair's agreement;
- Final evaluation – feedback and a summary of the experience;
- Certificate – pairs that meet at least five times receive confirmation of program completion at the final meeting.
Who the program is for
The program is suitable for UTB students seeking practical guidance and contacts in their field, and for experienced professionals who want to share their know-how and contribute to the development of young talent.
