About the program

Roma mentoring provides support to Roma clients involved in probation and mediation who are serving alternative sentences. The aim is to overcome obstacles that prevent compliance with sentence conditions and to help clients maintain family and social ties while working on changing their lives.

Why we do it

An alternative sentence is served in the community, which allows maintaining family and social ties and gives convicted people a better chance of long-term behaviour change without returning to criminal activity. Roma mentoring focuses on reducing the barriers that prevent fulfilling these sentences.
