About the service
The UJEP Counselling Centre is a university-wide unit providing comprehensive support to applicants, students in all forms and levels of study, and university staff. The centre brings together career, psychological and special-education counselling aimed at improving study adaptation, professional development and compensating for specific needs.
Who it's for
The counselling is intended for applicants, students of all faculties and UJEP staff, including people with visual, hearing or mobility impairments, with specific learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders and those with socio-economic disadvantages.
Special-education counselling
This team provides the functional diagnostics needed to use the services of the University Support Centre (UCP), prepares assessments with recommendations for support measures and individual study conditions according to the student's needs. The counselling also addresses difficulties that hinder students in their studies, such as stage fright, anxiety, sleep disorders, attention disorders or speech disorders.
Psychological counselling
Psychological counselling supports study adaptation as well as personal or relationship problems. Areas of support include strategic learning, time management, coping with pressure and stress, conflict resolution, self-confidence, motivation and mental hygiene. Work is supported by psychodiagnostics and the offer includes relaxation techniques and psychomotor activities.
Career counselling
Career services provide practical information related to employment, an overview of job offers, part-time jobs and internships, information on options for preparing bachelor's or master's theses in cooperation with companies, and tips for job searching, CV preparation, cover letters and job interviews.
