WU Executive Academy: Mentoring4U Program
Mentoring4U connects students of the WU Executive Academy (MBA, LL.M., MSc(CE)) with experienced Executive Club professionals for personal career guidance and skills development.
Who is it for?
Students of the MBA, LL.M., and MSc(CE) programs
Program overview
Mentoring4U is a structured mentoring offering from the WU Executive Academy that pairs high‑potential students from MBA, LL.M. and MSc(CE) programs with experienced members of the Executive Club community. The aim is a personal, career‑focused exchange that supports knowledge transfer, career orientation and the development of concrete skills.
How the program works
- Personal support: Mentoring takes place in one‑to‑one relationships and is organized as regular meetings, making it more binding than pure networking.
- Mutual benefit: Mentoring is seen as a two‑way learning process — both mentees and mentors benefit and contribute their experience.
- Result‑oriented: Collaboration is guided by clear goals and includes at least four meetings during the program.
Structure and content
The program recommends a common structure to guide the mentoring process without replacing individual arrangements:
- Milestone 1: Getting to know each other and agreeing the framework (goals, expectations, meeting frequency)
- Milestone 2: Defining direction (career and personal orientation)
- Milestone 3: Focusing on a core competency or a central goal
- Milestone 4: Closing, reflection and feedback
Participant feedback
Participants describe concrete effects such as greater clarity about career goals, improvements in CV/profiling, increased readiness to act and often lasting professional impulses. Mentors report gains from interdisciplinary exchange, a refresh of coaching skills and learning new perspectives.
Who the program is for
Mentoring4U is aimed at students and alumni of the mentioned degree programs who seek targeted support in career orientation, network building and skills development; it also invites experienced professionals and leaders to act as mentors to share their knowledge and learn in return.
