This is Jus – Mentoring Programm

Who is it for?
First-year and advanced law students
THIS IS JUS is the peer-to-peer mentoring program at the Juridicum of the University of Vienna. Experienced students offer practical support to younger students facing typical challenges of legal studies and accompany them through various stages of their degree.
Who the program supports
- Starting university and organizational questions before the semester begins
- Course of study phases and semester planning
- Exam planning and preparation
- Learning strategies and efficient working methods
- Dealing with stress and challenging situations
Structure and offer
The program is open across several stages of study and already begins for first-semester students before the semester starts, offering concrete support on organizational matters and semester planning. Support is provided in a peer-to-peer format, so experiences from higher semesters are passed on directly.
For mentors
Mentors are prepared for their role in a block course: topics include communication, group organization, rhetoric, and social skills. They receive a certificate and ECTS for their work.
The program is suitable for students seeking orientation, practical tips, and collegial support in daily study life; at the same time it offers committed students a structured opportunity to take on responsibility as mentors and to expand their pedagogical skills.
