Final‑year students and alumni with 5+ years' experience
Program overview
Launched in 2021, "Dare to Grow Together" is Webster Vienna Private University's mentoring initiative designed to support soon‑to‑be graduates in preparing for life after graduation. The program pairs current students approaching graduation with Webster Vienna alumni who provide guidance on career options, skill development and next‑step planning. The mentoring cycle typically runs from October to May.
What mentees can expect
- Career clarity: identify interests and strengths and explore different career paths.
- Practical insights: learn from alumni experience about roles, industries and workplace expectations.
- Actionable steps: define concrete next steps for personal and professional development.
- Networking: expand professional contacts and gain perspectives on life after graduation.
What mentors can expect
- Impact: share knowledge and support the next generation of graduates.
- Skill development: strengthen leadership and coaching abilities through mentoring.
- Fresh perspectives: engage with motivated students and gain new insights.

Format and commitment
Mentoring pairs agree on their own rhythm, with a suggested minimum of one session per month. The program also includes on‑campus events during the academic year (a kick‑off, a mid‑programme workshop and a farewell), which are encouraged but not mandatory. Matching is managed by the WVPU Career Services team and typically involves a short interview to identify preferences and ensure a good mentor–mentee fit.
Eligibility
- Mentors: Webster Vienna alumni with at least five years of professional experience; mentors do not need to be based in Vienna.
- Mentees: current Webster Vienna students who expect to graduate within the next one to two years.
