Program overview
This mentoring programme, organised by BOKU’s Research Service, supports researchers preparing an ERC Starting Grant proposal by connecting them with experienced mentors from previous ERC processes and senior research staff.
What the programme offers
- Feedback on scientific proposals — detailed review aimed at strengthening the research idea and its presentation.
- Positioning and presentation — guidance on how to position the project within the field and present its significance clearly.
- Application material refinement — support in reviewing and improving written documents submitted with the application.
- Interview preparation — coaching to prepare candidates for the interview stage, if they progress in the ERC process.
Who benefits
The programme is intended to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of ERC Starting Grant applications by offering mentees direct access to experience from previous ERC procedures and senior researchers’ insights.
