Program overview
The Peer-Mentoring Psychology program at the University of Vienna accompanies psychology students during entry and the first semesters. The offer is carried out by students from higher semesters who complete a specific training before taking on the role.
What mentees can expect
- Orientation in the degree: Support with study organization, course selection, and common questions at the start of studies.
- Exchange with other students: Opportunities to network and exchange experiences.
- Accompanying offerings: Workshops, information events, and accompanying materials for deeper orientation.
- Timing: The actual mentoring meetings begin in the winter semester after the introductory phase.
For (prospective) mentors
Mentors are students from higher semesters who undergo preparatory training. The program provides a structure for committed students to serve as peer mentors and support others at the start of their studies.
